Donor Privacy Policy
The Catalog for Giving® of New York City is committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe experience for all of its supporters. We collect credit card information from our supporters for the sole purpose of processing donations. We maintain this information on our secure servers for our internal processes only. We also use a credit card processing company to process donations and monthly fees. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties, and make every effort to preserve donor privacy. We may need, however, to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our organization. Should we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to our homepage, this privacy statement, and other places we deem appropriate so our donors and customers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Honoring/Remembering Loved Ones
What better tribute to a friend or family member than to make a gift in their name which in turn will help to provide a better future for thousands of New York City's disadvantaged youth? At the donor's request, a special acknowledgement will be sent to the family of those who are being honored or memorialized.
Wills and Bequests
Planned giving is an opportunity for a donor to name The Catalog for Giving as a beneficiary in his or her will, trust, life insurance policy or retirement plan. If you are considering naming The Catalog in your will, you may wish to incorporate the following language: "I bequeath The Catalog for Giving® of New York City, the sum of $____ or other property."
Gifts of Securities
A donation of securities can improve your tax situation while providing significant funding to The Catalog. When you donate stocks and bonds that are worth more today than what you paid for them, you can usually take a tax deduction for the full current value, while not having to declare the appreciated value as a capital gain. This can result in significant savings to you compared to selling the securities. The Catalog is able to accept electronic transfers of securities. Corporate Matching Gifts

Urban Heroes Benefit
For almost a decade, The Catalog has highlighted the impact of its member agencies by hosting an annual event to honor the young people that they serve. The Catalog's Urban Heroes Awards Benefit recognizes youth who best exemplify the work of these ten organizations. Our 12th Annual Urban Heroes Awards Benefit will be held on Monday, October 29th, 2007 at Pier 60 in the Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex. |
